The Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts was established in 1936 AD. It includes temporary and permanent exhibitions. It is considered one of the largest art museums in the city. It contains two buildings located in the historical part of Yekaterinburg. The museum is famous for its unique collection of Cast Iron Castings and of course the Cast Iron Pavilion, as well as works by Russian and European artists from the 18th and 20th centuries. The museum also contains a collection of icons including rare examples of 16th century Orthodox icons.
