Ahmetk Castle was built to repel the aggressive attacks that were being launched on the city, with a distinctive design, and huge walls specifically to withstand the attack of the cannons. The castle building consists of two separate sections, each with three towers, and larger stones were used than the stones used in other castles, and there is an inscription in the frame on the outside of the western tower, and stonework from the Hellenistic period can be seen in the lower parts of the walls where the outer gate of the castle is located on the western side.
