The Egon Schiele Center for the Arts was established in 1993 as a result of a private initiative of several individuals who had dedicated themselves to the idea of creating an international cultural center in one of the most beautiful Renaissance cities in Europe. It hosts many art exhibitions, including those documenting the life and work of Egon Schiele, in addition to a permanent exhibition of his drawings and watercolors.
