The Museum of Eastern Bosnia was established in Tuzla in November 1947, by a decision of the city’s People’s Committee, under the name of the Museum of the National Liberation Struggle. The purpose of finding this museum was to collect, organize and present historical materials related to the period of the People’s Liberation War and Revolution from 1941 to 1945. Today, the museum displays a group of artifacts, carvings, stone and wax statues that represent some of the images of the suffering left by the war.
