Dong-A University Seokdang Museum is Busan's oldest and most prestigious university-led museum. Founded in November 1959, it houses an estimated 30,000 precious objects, making it one of the greatest collections of Korean cultural property in Busan. The museum displays Korean history, life, and arts, from pieces Archeology from the ancient period excavated by the museum staff to the Buddhist relics of the Goryeo Dynasty, paintings and calligraphy from the Joseon Dynasty, and architectural remains from the early modern period.
