Built in the 15th century on the site of the Episcopal Palace, the Dominican Pole Monastery on the Glavika peninsula contains many monuments showing early Christian architecture that form a substrate of ancient medieval architecture (St John and St Theodore, though Attracting the most attention in the precious monastery gallery are Tintoretto's painting of the Virgin, Child (Christ) and saints as well as paintings of the Croatian Baroque painter Tripo Kokolja on the ceiling.
