Dokjin is a unique garden in Jeonju, because it is centered around a natural pond dating back to the Goryeo period (918-1392). It is not an ordinary pond, it is covered with huge lotus flowers that bloom every morning. The park extends over an area of 13 km, and the lake covers two-thirds of this area. The park provides its visitors with many facilities, including shaded rest areas, small boats that can be boarded on the lake, a cafeteria and others.
