The Batha Palace is located on the far west bank of the Al-Qarawiyyin neighborhood. It was built by Sultan Moulay Hassan I between 1873-1894. It hosts rich museum heritage collections, which serve as material evidence representing the various countries that successively ruled Morocco. The museum contains more than 7000 museum pieces. A variety of manuscripts, astrolabes, numismatics, brass, wood, gypsum, marbles, jewellery, clothing, textiles, the most impressive being the famous cobalt blue pottery.
