Daecheong Dam is located north of Daejeon City on the Jeon River. It is a multi-use dam, as it controls floods, supplies water to the city and generates hydroelectricity. It is a very high dam with a height of 72 metres, and locals and tourists come to visit it for the majestic views of the river and the vast forests nearby. The dam is surrounded by many amenities, including fine restaurants, shaded rest areas, and clean toilets.
