The Kuching Tunnel is part of a huge War Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, and offers visitors a peek into the secret lives of Vietnamese soldiers in 1948. The site contains more than 120 kilometers of underground tunnels with hidden doors, living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, hospitals and command posts. After the war against the French, Vietnamese soldiers expanded the tunnels and included effective air-purification systems, which helped them survive the Chu Chi carpet bombing.
