Located in the Baroque Palace of Oradea, the Crichori Museum houses a collection of paintings, sculptures, and artwork from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century, as well as exhibits from archeology, nature and ethnology. Founded on January 17, 1971, the museum is considered an important cultural monument in the whole of Romania. It displays precious pieces of art unmatched in other museums, and also reflects the culture of the Romans, Hungarians, Slovaks and Swabs in antiquity.
