The Reading Society of Corfu is the oldest surviving cultural institution in all of Greece and has developed a social, educational, political and cultural identity for itself that has made it a shining national edifice. The Society includes a wide range of books in different fields, in addition to a number of archival materials, ancient manuscripts, maps, art pieces, and photographs documenting many events from the history of Greece, and various newspapers and magazines.
