Copley Square, named after painter John Singleton Copley, is a public square in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, bounded by Boylston Street, Clarendon Street, St. James Avenue, and Dartmouth Street. And before 1883 AD, it was known as the Art Square, because of the many cultural and artistic institutions that spread in it, some of which still exist today.
