Information about Congressional Plaza
Congress Square is a public park facing the Argentine Congress building in Buenos Aires. The plaza is part of an open space of 3 hectares (30,000 square meters) and there are also three adjoining plazas to the east of the Congress building. The park also includes an elaborate water fountain. With bronze sculptures by Jules Lagae, it is a great place to find rest and tranquility, as well as an opportunity to learn about the architectural and artistic details of the Capitol that tell the story of a country and its long history of struggle for freedom and democracy, and rich details of artworks by famous artists from The length and breadth of the country.
