Information about Columbus House
Columbus House is one of the most attractive buildings in Las Palmas with ornate entrances, beautiful balconies, a large patio, and carved wood ceilings, representing many aspects of the island's architecture. This palace was the residence of the island's first rulers and Christopher Columbus allegedly resided there in 1492 while one of his ships was being repaired, hence the name, and houses a historical museum, displaying many of his possessions, including his drawings, magazines, and photographs.
