This museum was opened in 1950 at the initiative of the Academy of the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Marka Marlwich, and this museum is located in the palace of nobleman Babalik in the city of Split. This museum displays antiquities and works from different eras and times, as well as different civilizations, as well as weapons and tools used to protect the city. The museum displays a lot of interesting artifacts, as documents, photographs, maps and manuscripts help to tell the history of this ancient city, and the museum includes paintings, fragments of sculptures, relics and statues from the buildings of the city of Split.
