The Brest City History Museum was opened in 1998. The permanent exhibition of the City Museum displays more than 800 artifacts that tell stories about the history of the city, since its founding in 1019 AD until 1939 AD. Initially, it was a branch of the Brest Regional Museum of Local Heritage, and then, in 2007, the museum became a structural sub-section of the Department of Culture of the Brest City Executive Committee. Here you'll find a scale model of the city, a collection of vintage cars, and some abandoned, modern pieces and instruments.
