Information about Church of the Carmelites
The adjoining Carmelites and Karmo may look like one large church, but they are actually two separate buildings by a very narrow hidden house three feet wide. They couldn't get along, so one of them built a church next to the other in a final architectural move, but in reality, the churches don't touch each other, thanks to the house sandwiched between them. The Carmelite Chapel was built in the 17th century for Carmelite nuns, while the Carmo Chapel was built in the 18th century for Carmelites, both churches are among the most famous tourist attractions in Porto.
