The name of the Sveti Naum church refers to the liberation of Sofia from Ottoman rule on the day of Saint Sveti Naum. Located in the middle of a scenic garden, the church maintains close links with the Ottoman period. It was actually a mosque once upon a time although it is impossible to tell due to its Eastern Orthodox designs; Tourists visit it to learn about its history and most important events, in addition to contemplating its unique architecture.
