Built in the first half of the 18th century in the Baroque style, the Church of São Lourenço has an interior that blends classical styles, Portuguese Baroque and azulejo art. The aggregate of these panels produced in 1730 is one of the most striking examples of the adaptation of Azulejo tiles to architecture, characteristic of Portuguese sacred art.
