The beautiful Byzantine Paraportiani Church overlooking the sea is located in the Kastro district, in the town of Chora, on the Greek island of Mykonos. Her name means "lady of the side door" in Greek, as her entrance was found in the side gate of the Kastro district. The construction of this church began in 1425 AD, and was not completed until the seventeenth century AD. This distinctive white church consists of five separate churches.
