The Chkalov Stairs are located in the center of Nizhny Novgorod, linking Minin and Pozharsky Square to the Upper and Lower Volga Posds. They were built by the architects Alexander Yakovlev, Lev Rudnev and Vladimir Munts. The longest staircase in Russia, its 560 steps provide yard views of the surrounding areas.
