The archaeological area of Chellah is considered one of the masterpieces of the historical city of Rabat, as it summarizes between its walls different eras of Moroccan history, starting with the Romans, passing through the Almohads after the conversion of the Moroccans to Islam, and ending with the modern era. As it contains one of the most important springs of the water area, in addition to the presence of a group of tombs dating back to a period extending between the first century BC and the fourth century AD.
