In a building constructed in stages from 1840 AD to 1856 AD, the Charleston Visitor Center is located in an area designated as a National Historic District. It is one of five railroad buildings in the area, which opened to the public in May of 1991. The building offers visitors to the city many entertainment activities and introductory tours around the city and its ancient history.
