Information about Chantharakasem National Museum
Located on the west bank of the ancient Front City Canal, the Chan Kasem National Museum is housed in the Chan Kasim Palace in the northeastern region near Hoa Ro Market in Ayutthaya. The palace is generally known as "Wang Na" or "The Front Palace", as it was located to the east of the Grand Palace, and includes three buildings that include the permanent exhibits of the museum, such as the Chaturamuk Pavilion Gallery, which displays the possessions of King Rama IV, and the Viman Rataya Gallery, which displays a collection of sculptures and artifacts. Artistic images such as Buddhas, and the Maha Tai Gallery, which deals with five themes: "Ayutthaya Art and Architecture", "The Ceramic Trade in Ayutthaya", "Ancient Weapons", "Buddhist Pieces" and "Riverside Life in the Old Town".
