Central World is the largest shopping mall in Bangkok and one of the largest in the world. The eight-storey mall originally opened in 1990, and the Central Group acquired ownership in 2002 from The Wang Phetchpun Group. The center has everything from branded clothing stores, funky fashion, world-class tech gadgets, bookstores and designer furniture to grocery stores, beauty salons, a range of banks, gourmet restaurants, an ice rink, and much more.
