The Museo Centrale Montemartini is one of the Capitoline Museums. The gallery was formerly a power plant filled with machinery. And then it was turned into a museum without getting rid of the machines inside, and thus the museum combines two different faces, between the past with its statues and gods, and the present with its machines and progress. Perhaps this merging between the present and the past and the new and the old is what contributed to the fame and distinction of this museum and not others.
