St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a huge orthodox church, characterized by its exquisite exterior architecture and beautiful interior design, filled with artistic paintings and distinctive religious drawings. This church was built primarily as a memorial to the two hundred thousand Russian soldiers, who died in the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation (1877-1878).
