Information about Cathedral of Christ the King
The Cathedral of Christ the King is the Roman Catholic cathedral in La Spezia, it was built between 1956 - 1975 AD on a small hill called the Capuchin Hill in an area located between the old city and its modern annexes. 50 meters high and supported by 12 huge columns, its walls consist of white and gray marble paved with red stones. The church is famous for the presence of a wooden cross from the eighteenth century in the middle of the main square, along with numerous statues and sculptures by the sculptor Lia Godano scattered throughout the square.
