The fifth largest cathedral in North America, it is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Newark in the city of Newark. The construction of this church began in 1899 and ended in 1954 AD, and the church was designed primarily in the style of the Irish and English Gothic churches, to be converted later in the French Gothic style. The cathedral's exterior is characterized by its amazingly accurate details of distinctive stone decoration, and its interior is large and decorated in an elegant and luxurious way.
