It was opened in 1858 by a French immigrant named Touan. backwards; Due to the presence of many of its original features intact, the "Tortoni" cafe offers a purely Argentinean taste, where café-goers can participate in the tango dance or simply watch or hear its music. The café offers a variety of sweets and delicious dishes, and various types of coffee and tea. There are also statues of some of its most important visitors, such as Einstein and the famous singer Carlos Gardel, who gave the rhythm of the traditional Argentine tango dance world fame.
