The Cliffs of Cabo Girao are some of the highest in the world, with a near-vertical drop of more than 500 meters down to the turbulent waters of the Atlantic Ocean below, and at the top of them there is a glass-floored bridge, which can be considered one of the most terrifying tourist attractions in Madeira. This glass walkway extends to the edge of the cliff and offers a stunning view of the ocean at an altitude of 580 metres, creating the illusion of walking through the air.
