Pointsky Square is a place of important historical events near the village of Pointsky, in the city of Mogilev. During the anti-feudal revolt of the Cossack peasants in 1595, a battle took place here between the Cossack peasant detachment of Nalivajka and the army of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. During the Great Patriotic War, Pointsky Square became the site of fierce battles between Soviet soldiers from the Rifle Division and Mogilev's militia against the Nazi invaders. Today, the field has become an important archaeological landmark that includes many tanks and huge weapons that remained from the effects of the war.
