The Budapest City Archives preserve documents relating to the history of the capital from the 14th century until today, including the legacy of one of the greatest Hungarian architects, György Klösz's collection of photographs, city government documents, judicial bodies, civil law notaries, state and church records, schools, digital records and databases. All of them are historical sources. The archive has an exhibition room, where temporary exhibitions relating to the history of Budapest can be visited, and working areas such as digitization, bookbinding and preservation workshops can be visited after arranging an appointment.
