Designed by Hermann Korb, the Palace of Brunswick was begun in 1717 and completed in 1791, and was at one point the residence of the Dukes of Brunswick. The palace burned down during the revolution of 1830, and was rebuilt under the supervision of Carl Theodor Ottmer in 1841.
