The Broken Chair in Geneva is a gigantic wood sculpture designed by Swiss artist Daniel Berset, made of more than 5.5 tons of wood and 12 meters high. Built with a broken leg on the street leading to the city's Palais des Nations, the broken man symbolizes opposition to landmines and cluster bombs, and the statue serves to remind politicians and others visiting Geneva of the importance of that cause.
