Brickfields was originally a quiet residential neighborhood on the border of Kuala Lumpur, and then turned over time into a wide street with Indian shops and restaurants run by the Indian community in the country, until it became a miniature version of India in Malaysia, an area full of colors and simple restaurants specializing in serving pies Dosa and banana leaf curry, as well as shops specializing in everything from clothes to crafts and antiques.
