The romantic and picturesque Arch Bridge is located in the middle of Central Park on 74th Street, and spans Central Park Lake like a low delicate violin or archer's arch, hence the name. The bridge is made of cast iron in the classical Greek style and is the second oldest cast iron bridge in America. The bridge has a pedestrian walkway of reddish-brown wood, a hardwood from South America, that crosses the 18.28-meter-long bridge.
