The Gunpowder Tower is an old, ruined watchtower located on the outskirts of the city of Essaouira between Diabat and the island near the beach. It is located to the south of Wadi Al-Qasab near Essaouira. This historical landmark is located on a wide sandy beach across from the Phoenician ruins at the southeastern tip of the Burbury Islands. There are many reasons to believe that this structure may have been an integral part of an ancient Phoenician settlement, and is an important archaeological landmark that you cannot miss.
