The Avenue of the Heroes of Monte Cassino is the most important street in the city of Sopot, and was named by that name in memory of the Battle of Monte Cassino Hill in central Italy, which took place in May 1944 AD with the decisive participation of the 2nd Polish Legion. The street extends with a length of approximately 635 meters, and on its sides there are many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, travel agencies and other service institutions, a theater, cinemas and an annex. The street and its surrounding buildings reflect the country's ancient history.
