Chemnitz's Old Town Hall has its origins in the end of the 15th century and has undergone some changes over the centuries. It is located on the south side of the lively Market Square, with its late Gothic Renaissance arched portal and its baroque tower. The tower, which is believed to have been part of the city's fortifications in the year 1200 AD, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city.
