The historic Birya Fortress is located in the city of Safed, which is basically a Palestinian Arab village. In 1945, the Israelis built a fortress that they called “Peria”, and destroyed the Palestinian village in 1948 and dispersed its inhabitants; Nowadays, it is a museum and a natural area that residents and tourists visit for hiking, hiking and taking distinctive souvenir photos.
