Information about Bes Kopru
Bs Kobro is one of the most important monuments in the area. This bridge was built 15,000 years ago along the Syrkaya River and was built by the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian I (527-565 AD) to improve communications between the capital of Constantinople and the eastern provinces of his empire. It is about 430 meters long and 9.83 meters wide and the bridge was built of limestone. Although it has been renovated several times, it still maintains its ancient and archaeological character.
