The Bertolds Fountain is called "Bertie", but don't expect to see a classic fountain with water holes and a large basin. In fact, it is more of a place name than a monument; It is located at the intersection of Freiburg's shopping street, and is a central meeting point for all the city's trolley lines. This probably explains why Berti is the most popular meeting place in Freiburg, as well as the busiest.
