The Bilanggung Column is famous for being the oldest artifact in the enchanted island of Bali. It is a stone column adorned with many inscriptions written in a mixture of ancient Balinese and Sanskrit depicting the military campaigns of different kingdoms. It dates back to the Warmadewa dynasty from the tenth century, and is located near the Bilangung Temple. This historical landmark bears witness to the military victories of King Sri Kesari Warmadeva.
