The Petit Museum of Biodiversity is a natural history museum in Vancouver, located on the campus of the University of British Columbia. It opened its doors to collections and exhibition spaces to the public on October 16, 2010, and since then, it has received more than 35,000 visitors annually. Its collections include more than two million specimens collected between the past and the present, including the marine invertebrate group, the fossil group, the insect group, the fish group and more. The collections specifically focus on species from the British Columbia region and the Pacific coast. The highlight of the museum is the 25-meter-tall skeleton of a female blue whale that is suspended above the cliff leading to the main groups. .
