Located 9 km from Adkhara and from Avawa River in Batumi, Batumi Botanical Garden is an ancient garden that has been established since 1881 by Professor Andrew Krasnov of Kharkov University. In 1998 the Batumi Botanical Garden became a member of the International Plant Reserves Organization due to the wonderful flora in it, as these plants and shrubs were brought from different regions around the world. In this garden you will also find many small ponds, a Chinese garden, an area called Bamboo Grove filled with huge bamboo canes and much more.
