Information about Baths of Caracalla
The Baths of Caracalla were the second largest Roman public baths or thermal baths in the city, probably built between AD 212 and 216, during the reign of Emperor Septimius Severus and Caracalla. These baths served as architectural inspiration for many other notable buildings including the Baths of Diocletian, Maxentius Church, the original Pennsylvania Station (located in New York) and Chicago Union Station. Artwork excavated from the ruins includes famous sculptures such as Farnese Bull and Farnese Hercules. It is worth mentioning that it includes three pools of cold, warm and hot water.
