It was built between 1864 and 1868 according to the plans of the French architect Charles Lenormand, son of Louis Lenormand. It is the largest church in Nice and is inspired by Angers Cathedral. The church has two square towers, twenty-five meters high, surmounted on both sides by a large rose window that represents scenes of the Mystery of the Assumption. This cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral located on the rue Jean-Medicine in the center of Nice, designed in the neo-Gothic architectural tradition and worth seeing.
