Barclay Memorial Park is located in the eastern region of Tainan. The park serves as the city's lungs. It is arguably the most popular park in Tainan and was also voted as one of the top 10 parks in Taiwan, winning the first annual Landscaping Award. As you wander the park grounds, adorable squirrels will appear as if from nowhere, scurrying back and forth along one of the park's shaded tree-lined paths, and beside the path that runs along the water's edge, there are many cypresses among the willow trees. In the middle of the garden, one arrives at the Lake of Dreams, a beautiful lake in miniature, lined with Taxudem trees on its banks, surrounding the lake on all sides, while sunlight reflects off the surface of the water to create an enchanting spectacle.
